[记录、学习]曾国藩日课十二条(修身十二心法)

供自己参考,调整成适用于自己的方式,然后切实实践:

一 持身敬肃。衣冠外貌保持整齐,心思神情端正严肃,时刻都要检查自己的念头,举止中有无背离义理之处。平日闲居无事的时候宁静安泰,保养德性,一旦投于事务之中则专心致志,不存杂念,精神状态清澈明朗,就如同旭日东升,光彩照人。

Self-explanatory. No wild thoughts, no gossip, no bad thoughts (including anger, pride etc), be focus on essential things.

二 静坐养性。每天不限什么时候,要拿出一定的时间,用来静坐养性,反省体悟自己天性中隐现的仁义之心。正襟危坐凝然镇定,如同宝鼎一般沉稳。

Spend time with God. Meditate on His words. Listen to Him.

三 早早起床。天色初亮就赶紧起身,睡醒了就不要再恋床。

四 读书专一。一本书没有读完时,不要看其它书籍。东翻西阅随意读书,对自己的道德学问毫无益处。

Oh…..dear me….how??? Contrary to other theory I have seen before (therefore obviously I am reading many books at the same time, while not finishing them yet). So which should I obey?

五 阅读史书。

Read the Bible.

六 说话谨慎。对此要时刻注意,这是修身的最重要的功夫。

Be polite, sincere, positive, gentle. What can hurt me, can hurt others.

七,保养真气。真气存储于丹田之中,彻里彻外光明正大,所作所为毫无羞于对人说之处。

Self-explanatory.

八 爱护身体。节制操劳,节制欲求,节制饮食,应该时刻以此作为健身祛病准则。

Food is one of my Achilles’ heel.

九 每天都应获知新学问。每天读书时将自己的心得记录下来,如果刻从书中凿空求取深意,那就是偏私他人。

Agree. But have problem recording fast enough.

十 每月不可荒疏旧技能。每月写几篇诗文以检验自己积存义理的多少,保养真气的强弱。却不能完全沉溺于其中,因为这最容易使人玩物丧志,隐没本性。

Agree. Writing can be addicting, and gives a false sense of accomplishment.

十一 写字。饭后写半时辰的字,凡事不可留待第二天去做,事情越积越多,就越难清理。

I wanted to practise writing (to improve my handwriting as much as …… possible ……), but stopped. Should pick this up again. Another thing I must picked up again, is reading passages out loud with emotion and clear diction.

十二 夜晚不出屋门。它使人耽搁正事,精神疲惫,务必戒除。

I usually don’t go out at night, but I might come home late. So it is the same thing. I should come home ASAP.
